About Port Said City

Port Said Governorate lies at the head of the Suez Canal on the north of the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered to the north by the Mediterranean Sea, to the east by North Sinai Governorate, to the west by Damietta Governorate, and to the south by Ismailia Governorate. Most importantly, the capital of Port Said Governorate is the city of Port Said, and is called Afro-Asiatic, as one of its cities, the city of Port Fouad, is located in the Asian Continent.

Suez Canal Authority Building

It is a government archaeological building to observe the movement of ships passing through the Suez Canal. The building is known as the Dome Building, having distinguished location on the bank of the Suez Canal. Khedive Abbas Helmi II built it in 1895 AD.

Port Said Martyrs Memorial of the Tripartite Aggression

President Anwar el-Sadat decided to build the memorial to commemorate the righteous martyrs. It is located in the famous martyrs square in El-Masala Square; the most famous square in Port Said.

The Old Lighthouse

It is one of the most important monuments and attractions in the governorate, as it is the first lighthouse to be constructed of reinforced concrete in the world. Thus, the French built it to guide the coming ships to the city.

It is one of 18 tombs scattered throughout the Egyptian republic. The cemeteries lie in the Al-Zuhur neighborhood. Ashtum El Gamil National Park and Tennis Island

It exists 7 kilometers away from the city of Port Said, on the west, along the coastal road of Port Said-Damietta. It consists of: Boughazi El Gamil and Ashtum El Gamil, which connect the Mediterranean Sea to Lake Manzala, leading to the renewal and circulation of the water inside it and the fish diversity accordingly.

The Tennis Island is located inside Lake Manzala and 7 km away from it. It includes the archaeological Tennis hill and surrounded by a water sanctuary.
