Badr City hasn’t got its fair share of media attention as it was almost neglected since it was established in 1984, which made it pretty disregarded up till 2014.

Staff Housing
Staff Housing is now called the extension of the Administrative Capital; it’s considered as one of the best and most important neighborhoods of Badr City. Moving the ministries, Mogamma El Tahrir and other administrative buildings was certainly a decision to clear out many issues in Cairo.
For the government to pull this off, it depended mainly on Badr City, where the employees of the ministries and governmental facilities in the new capital were decided to move.

Choosing Badr City to solve this issue was an excellent choice, being the nearest city to the New Capital, offers all sorts of services and it’s perfect for many people of different social status.
For the city to house the huge number of employees and their families, the city worked in cooperation with the Armed Forces Engineering Authority along with almost 150 contractors to commence staff housing in Sakan Masr.
The project consists of 10,000 residential units, each starting from 115 square meters to 118 square meters. Each building consists of a ground floor and five upper stories, each consist of four apartments, all buildings include an elevator. The project is planned to be ready in 15 months.

What’s great about units in Sakan Masr is that they lie between the social and premium housing offered by the Dar Masr project, where each unit starts from 115 square meters to 118 square meters. The client gets to choose the finishes, where several models are presented to them.
- The first phase of the project includes 22 fully finished buildings. 170 residents have already received their units, the rest still in progress.
- The second phase includes 47 buildings. Twelve buildings are already done with the rest in progress.
The project is planned to be finished in three months, executed even faster with the cooperation of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.

Featured Neighborhood is located by the Suez Road entrance, where getting in and out of Badr City is as easy as ever. It also lies very close to both Badr University and the Egyptian Russian University.
It’s well known that Badr City was made for social housing of different social status (Dar Masr, Sakan Masr). The prices of the residential units are set through the Housing and Development Bank, which can be paid through installments upon agreements between the bank and the owner of the apartment.
Additionally, there are apartments for sale starting from EGP2,500 up to EGP5,000 per meter, according to the apartment’s location, where its price is higher the closer it is to the New Capital.
